About Us
The Nicosia Chamber of Commerce and Industry (NCCI) was established in 1952, is federally affiliated with the Cyprus Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCCI), and geographically covers the city and district of Nicosia, Kyrenia, and Morphou.
The purpose of NCCI is to support businesses operating in various economic sectors and to promote entrepreneurship. Its goals are economic development, reinforcing entrepreneurship and enhancing the business environment, addressing the particular problems of our member companies, and further development of the city and district of Nicosia.
The NCCI is composed of a Board of Directors, an Executive Committee, Permanent Committees (commerce, industry, services, finance, and tourism/development of Nicosia), Ad Hoc Committees, and Local Committees in various Industrial Zones and Areas, with representatives from local industries.
Some of the advantages for a company being a member of the Chamber include:
- Guidance and support in solving specific problems with appropriate government departments and local authorities.
- Participation through the NCCI in various government committees and bodies and local authorities as well as in sessions of the various parliamentary Committees of the House of Representatives.
- Appropriate information on legislation, decisions/policies related to businesses and the economy in general.
- Certifications for member businesses for participation in public tenders and competitions, as well as for customed presentations to partners in Cyprus and abroad.
- Certifications for the signatures of members according to legislation.
- Advice on issues concerning the business community, such as labor relations, funding and support programs, infrastructure projects in industrial zones/areas, etc.
- Networking opportunities with other businesses and participation in events exclusively for NCCI members.
- Presentation of their business through the Chamber's website.
- Obtaining certificates of origin and other certificates concerning exports to third countries at significantly reduced rates for members.
- Daily electronic information on legislation, mission organization, seminars and delegation visits.
- Support for networking and new business collaborations through the Enterprise Europe Network, of which Chambers are a member.
- Participation in seminars, lectures, business meetings, business missions abroad and other events.
