Panayiotis Papafilippou

Mr Papafilippou Papafilippou was born in the village of Kambos of Tsakkistra in 1946, moved to Nicosia at the age of four, where he was educated.

After completing his military service he started his first job and opened his first confectionery shop. He studied all matter relating to sweets, ice cream and gastronomy in general and obtained his diplomas in business administration through mail correspondence courses. In 1972 he married Rena Maltezou and had three daughters.

He encountered a lot of problems but because of his vision, love and passion for his work he set new horizons for ice cream. The company today is the leader in the Cypriot market exporting to Europe and to the Middle East.

Mr.Panayiotis Papfilippou has never stopped studying and pursuing knowledge. He has pioneered and innovated in the field of ice cream and generally in the gastronomy world, creating a Mediterranean product. He has contributed greatly to social work and has been nominated for various awards and is a member of many committees.

A few of these are:
- Chairman of the Association of Ice cream
- Secretary of the Nicosia Chamber of Commerce as well a member in the Cyprus Chamber of Commerce

He continues with active involvement in the industry, commerce and social life.
