Chrysochou Despina

Despina Chrysochou is an Executive Director of Cyfield Group. She has been involved with the family business from a very young age, serving in all sectors of the business. Before joining the business full-time, she had worked in New York at Sciame Construction, a general contractor and construction management company, as a Project Manager in various projects such as office buildings, theatres, parks and plazas and hotels. In addition, she worked as a Senior Civil Engineer at Langan Engineering, an engineering design and consultant company, where she gained experience on various infrastructure projects such as stormwater, sanitary/sewer, utilities, site design, geotechnical, waterfront and roadways. While working as a contractor and consultant she had day-to-day involvement with Cyfield, participating in key strategic and operational decisions. She returned to Cyprus with a vision to expand the family business into a real estate developer in Europe and a regional civil and EPC contractor. Despina is one of the directors that are currently leading the development, contracting, and manufacturing companies of the group. She holds a Bachelor’s of Science in Civil Engineering from Northeastern University in Boston and a Master’s of Science in Civil Engineering from Columbia University in New York. She is a Professional Engineer in New York and a member of A.S.C.E, P.W.C, C.R.E.W, U.L.I, in the USA. Despina is a Certified Contractor from Contractor’s Council Cyprus; she is a member of ETEK and appointed member of NCCI.
