Akis Kelepeshis

Akis Kelepeshis graduated from the Pancyprian Gymnasium in Nicosia in 1978. He received his BA degree in Economics and Industry from the School of Higher Industrial Studies of Thessaloniki. After completing his studies he joined a travel agency in Greece where he was appointed Assistant General Manager.

On returning to Cyprus in 1986, he established his own travel agency together with Dinos Kakkouras under the name of Kinisis Travel & Tours. In 1999 Kinisis Travel & Tours merged with Top Ten Tours, another leading tour company in Cyprus, subsequently listed in the Cyprus Stock Exchange under the new name of Top Kinisis Travel Plc.

Akis Kelepeshis has been involved in the Travel and Tourism Industry for over 25 years and currently holds the position of Executive Chairman of Top Kinisis Travel Public Limited.

In 1996 he was elected Secretary General of the Association of Cyprus Travel Agents and in 1999 was re-elected to the post of Vice-President. In June 2005 he was elected President of the Association of Cyprus Travel Agents and a member of the board of directors of the Cyprus Chamber of Commerce and Industry. Ιn 2008 he was elected President of ECTAA (Group of National Travel Agents and Tour Operators Associations within the EU).
